Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and gained straight As in her A-levels. Discussing her role on Emmerdale Coleman said that she regrets that she did not have a traditional University experiences. Coleman worked with a group known as In Yer Space at her school. The company was in the stage production Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. In addition to winning a prize for her acting skills, the show she performed was well received. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas while she was performing at drama school. This happened in 2005. In 2007 Coleman was awarded two awards. She won The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. She was nominated in the categories of Best Actress, Sexiest Woman and Best Dramatic performance at the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series she would play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat decided to cast her in the role as she had the best chemistry with Smith. Additionally, she was quicker than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the film industry since 1987. However she has had a greater presence on television than in films. Eva has had many TV characters, however Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and allowed her to experiment with her talents in music. Eva isn't just acting, but she's an entrepreneur and philanthropist. The actress has three marriages and has one daughter with her second husband.
