Personal highlights for Niykee include being hand-picked to join Snoop at the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, as well as writing songs, despite the turbulence over the last few years. Songwriting is an inspiration to hopeful producers. Niykee is always listening to beats and finds many songs that inspire her. In just 5 minutes that I know whether a beat is worthwhile. Then I am able to see the concept of a song's whole concept in my brain and I begin to compose. The words come to me whenever I'm outside on the patio, playing my guitar. It usually takes less than 30 minutes. In her development as a musician, Niykee says that the pain of her history is an unending source of unimaginable inspiration. It's tough to forget memories that are painful from my youth, especially losing my younger sister. The memories end up getting incorporated in her music. My songs are formed by this and I can feel the deeper meaning underneath everything. That's one of the aspects that are most significant to me.
