Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967 [1] is a Canadian actor from Canada. Her fame was boosted by her role in the film Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after performing a number of parts on television. Memento (2000) won her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Supporting Role, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) won her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress in an Supporting role. Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent television series. She also played Jeri Hogarth. Moss was living in Spain when she was offered the part of Tara Judge Nicholas Marshall's Clerk, in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first time on TV. In 1992, she relocated to the set of the show from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss was forced out of Dark Justice after the third season as well as the last. Elisa Heinsohn replaced her as Samantha "Sam". Following her return, she was enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. At the academy, she was modeling, and later appeared in the Fox soap opera Models Inc. The show was cancelled in July 25, 1995. Matrix was a brief-lived made in Canada series. [3] For most of the 1990s, she appeared in several television series like Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she won the Gemini Award for Best Guest Actress in Drama. A lot of her film roles in the decade were B movies, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) as well as The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
